Disclaimer

Even though many customers report an immediate freedom from pain, it may take a while ridding your tennis elbow / golfer’s elbow completely and of course it is also possible that the Masalo Cuff may not have the desired effect in your personal case. An epicondylitis is a serious medical issue and medical matters are always individual. The healing progress is dependant on many factors and differs for each patient. Therefore and for legal reasons we cannot and will not provide a healing guaranty. Some reviews have been translated from German.
We wish you a rapid recovery!

Wore the cuff for almost 1 year, but then it got noticeably better. Now the pain has completely disappeared. I tried everything to get the pain from my tennis elbow under control, but nothing helped.

I’m glad it’s over now. I still wear the cuff when I have to do heavy work.

Response from Masalo.co.uk

Hello Mr Abeln, thank you very much for your feedback. It really took an exceptionally long time for you and was probably quite bad tennis elbow. But now you have managed it. You are doing exactly the right thing: when you are under a lot of strain, simply put on the cuff as a prophylactic measure to prevent a new injury from occurring. However, if you forget to do this, put the cuff back on immediately afterwards. In our experience, in such cases the problem is solved within 1-3 days. I wish you all the best and may you be spared from tennis elbow in the future 🙂 Kind regards Harry Röder

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen ,

I am a master painter by profession and have had tennis elbow for 4 years. All the attempts I have made (massage, shock wave therapy, acupuncture, etc.) have not helped in the long term.

Since I have been wearing the Masalo Bandage (2 years) I can do my job normally again without any restrictions.

I can only say thank you, thank you.

Hello Mr Sudeck, thank you very much for your feedback. We know this situation really well from our own experience and are very pleased that you can also pursue your profession again without pain and enjoy life again. All the best for the future and stay healthy 🙂 Kind regards Harry Röder

I expected more!

I am more than disappointed. I have been using the cuff for a few weeks now. I got it because I was convinced by the principle and the well presented advertising.

I’m at a point with my golf elbow where I’ll try anything to get rid of it. Unfortunately, the rather unpleasant feeling of wearing them makes me adopt a more protective posture, so that I now also have shoulder problems.

Can’t really recommend it! I would gladly return them if that is possible.

Andreas Höck

Response from Masalo.co.uk

Hello Mr Höck, thank you very much for your feedback. As already written, what you write is absolutely exceptional and has never happened before, so I would recommend that you have yourself examined again, simply to rule out the possibility that there is another indication, but that is of course entirely up to you. Unfortunately, especially with golfer’s elbow, massive additional inflammations often occur and the healing of golfer’s elbow sometimes really needs a lot of patience, of course consistent wearing, as well as the absolute renunciation of stretching exercises etc.. However, you should quickly be able to perform most activities that were previously impossible or only possible with severe pain as pain-free as possible, or at least with significantly reduced pain. If there is no improvement at all, something is wrong. What is not at all typical is that you feel pain from the upper arm strap at the back of the upper arm. The injury is not located there and the strain caused by this belt is minimal and only occurs for a short time. Therefore, if you do not feel any relief at all, I would strongly recommend further diagnostics. But anyway, we are in medicine here and of course it can also happen that our Masalo Cuff MED does not help once. As I said, however, this is very unusual unless there are additional indications. In any case, we sincerely wish you a good recovery. Best regards Eric Siebert

A great help against the pain.

After being diagnosed with tennis elbow, the Masalo cuff was recommended to me by my doctor. At first I was sceptical that a cuff should relieve the pain within a maximum of 30 minutes.

After putting it on, I wrote to Super Support because I was unsure. You get immediate feedback and help with any questions. Totally thrilled.

After 2 days of wearing the cuff, I can report that it really is a great help! You can carry bottles again, open them and generally do almost everything with the affected arm.

It’s a great relief for tennis elbow or golf elbow.

Luise von Ass

Response from Masalo.co.uk

Hello Ms von Ass, thank you for your feedback. We are always happy to be there for our customers and can almost always help 🙂 You are still at the very beginning, but as you describe it, you are on a very good path. Please keep trying the settings to see what works best for you. Just make sure that the forearm cuff is far enough away from the elbow, then it should go steadily uphill and get a little better every day. You still need patience, though, because epicondylitis takes time. Please don’t do too much right away when you notice that you are pain-free with a cuff. I also recommend that you read our “Tips for dealing with epicondylitis”, which you can find under the menu item “Info & Things to know” on our website. We sincerely wish you a good and speedy recovery 🙂 Kind regards Harry Röder

Strain relief the elegant way

Left tennis elbow for four weeks with increasing pain, most recently when picking up a biro (not caused by playing tennis, by the way, but by playing golf; apparently my swing resembles a left-handed backhand). After a short search on the internet, I found the ingenious Masalo cuff and decided to forego other, apparently unpromising treatment attempts from the outset.

I put the cuff on in the car in front of the medical supply store and was immediately free of symptoms. I think that if strain relief is necessary, a technician (engineer, craftsman…) is more likely to know what to do than a doctor.

Of course, as Confucius said, to him who has only a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. For a surgeon, strain relief means “cutting off the tendon and placing it further distally”. Fortunately, there is a more elegant way.

I’ve been wearing the Masalo cuff for three days now, even at night, and since then I can move completely unhindered, it’s simply wonderful.

Response from Masalo.co.uk

Hello Dr. Schürmann, thank you very much for your experience report. Unfortunately, feedback from doctors is quite rare, although many are among our users and are enthusiastic 🙂 We are therefore all the more pleased about your feedback. As a doctor, you have to deal with many different medical problems and get information from the relevant trustworthy sources. I therefore believe that the reason why there has been nothing new about epicondylitis for a long time is simply because no one has really dealt with it in the sense of “there must be a possibility…”. The state of science has not really developed for a long time and we hope to be able to change something here with the appropriate scientific proof. If one is not burdened by this expert information, one can think freely and the conclusion to use a countermove is then very close 🙂 You are also right, our customers from the fields of handicraft and practical work understand the mode of action much faster than many experts. In the field of aids for epicondylitis, compression is still predominant and so it is not uncommon for application errors to occur because people somehow try to create compression when applying the aids. Fortunately, however, there are more and more doctors every day who rely only on our principle of action – because it simply helps. The results you describe are optimal, but you still need a lot of patience. As you know, the healing of tendons and similar tissue takes time. Nevertheless, in the meantime, with the bandage on, you should be able to do everything again without pain, or at least without major pain. Golf should also work (it takes a little getting used to with the bandage on, but you quickly forget that after the 2nd or 3rd tee shot ;-). For sports and activities that place a lot of strain, tighten the bandage a little to achieve maximum protection for the tendons. Please always adjust the upper arm strap and place the forearm cuff far away from the elbow (preferably around the middle of the forearm) so that there is enough distance to create sufficient counter-tension. Movement of the arm is also important and advisable, immobilisation is not optimal. You should make rapid progress and after 8-12 weeks you should be able to do everything with and without a cuff without pain. Nevertheless, I recommend that you wear the bandage prophylactically during heavy exertion (people who have had epicondylitis often tend to have it return when things go badly). If you forget to put the bandage on and feel it starting again, just put it back on right away and it will usually go away within 1-3 days. If you have any questions or if something is wrong, please contact us right away, we are always happy to help our customers 🙂 I sincerely wish you a good recovery and if possible a positive development of your handicap 🙂 (the cuff can actually help with this ;-)) Kind regards Harry Röder
