Even though many customers report an immediate freedom from pain, it may take a while ridding your tennis elbow / golfer’s elbow completely and of course it is also possible that the Masalo Cuff may not have the desired effect in your personal case. An epicondylitis is a serious medical issue and medical matters are always individual. The healing progress is dependant on many factors and differs for each patient. I had a Masalo cuff prescribed for me after a lot of back and forth because of the price, so it wasn’t too expensive.

I wore it for 3 days and one of the elastics was out of the seam…very annoying, especially at that price. But after an email to the manufacturer I got a replacement immediately and was even allowed to keep the defect. Great service and top three really helps.

I could no longer do anything without pain. With the cuff, everything is possible again.

Clear purchase recommendation. I hope that my tennis elbow will soon be cured.

Response from Masalo.co.uk

Dear Mel C, thank you for your review on Google. Epicondylitis can take between 3 and 6 months to heal completely. Therefore, please wear the Masalo Cuff very consistently. The more consistently you use it, the sooner you will be well again. Only take it off when you can do everything pain-free again with or without the bandage. The important thing now is that you can live and work pain-free again. We strongly recommend that you read our tips for dealing with epicondylitis on our website. This will help prevent damage and speed up the healing process. We are very sorry that you got a defective support at first, but even with the greatest care something can go wrong. But now you even have an advantage, you can have the seam repaired cheaply and then have 2 supports to change 😊 We wish you a good recovery and if anything should happen, please contact us again at any time 😊 Kind regards Your Masalo team

I had problems with my tennis/mouse arm from time to time. The doctors I went to always prescribed these standard bandages that didn’t help at all. Even after wearing them for several weeks, the symptoms were hardly any better.

Then I found the Marsalo bandage. At first I was sceptical because I had already tried a lot of things, but this thing is really great!!!!

I had hardly worn the Masalo for a week and the pain was much less. In the meantime (approx. 3 – 4 weeks) I am almost completely free of complaints. I’ll wear it for a few more weeks so that it heals completely and doesn’t come back.

It’s not a miracle cure, you need a bit of patience, but you notice how the symptoms are getting better and better. A big thank you to the inventor(s) of this support!

Even though I had to pay the costs myself, this support is worth every euro! I really recommend everyone to try the support. It helps!

Response from Masalo.co.uk

Hello Mr Melis, thank you for your report. The Masalo® Cuff MED is a registered aid under the aid number 23.08.04.0042 Private insurance companies usually cover the costs completely. All other epi-bandages, braces, orthoses etc. work with compression as the active principle. Therefore, it doesn’t really matter which one you use, the effect is always the same. The Masalo® Cuff MED works with the unique counter-traction principle of action. This is something completely different. Even though the cuff helps quickly, it can take between 3 and 6 months to heal, so please be patient and don’t put the cuff down too soon. The more consistently and frequently you use the cuff, the quicker you will be through with epicondylitis. To be on the safe side, you are welcome to send 2 photos of your arm to our support team at support@masalo.co.uk so that we can see if anything can be optimised. I also recommend our tips at https://masalo.co.uk/tipps-gegen-epicondylitis/. These will help you avoid mistakes and speed up the healing process. If you have any questions, please contact us. I wish you a continued good recovery. Best regards, Your Masalo Team Harry Röder

Moin,

I am a lorry driver, and in the spring of 2021 I suddenly could no longer lift or grip anything, especially my ‘long arm’. After my visit to the orthopaedist, I was diagnosed with ‘tennis elbow’ on my left side.

First I got a zinc bandage, then massages, of course I was unable to work, my GP prescribed me a cuff in between, which I took to the cellar after wearing it for 12 hours, as the pain was unbearable.

In the meantime, I read through Dr. Google and came across a TV report from WDR about the “Masalo cuff”.

This report was very convincing and convinced me immediately. So I went to the orthopaedist and wanted to have the “Masalo cuff” prescribed, but he refused.

After I pointed out to him once again that the “Masalo cuff” does fall under the “Heilmittelförderplan” (or whatever it’s called), he wanted to check it out and finally prescribed it for me. (Additional payment at the time was € 70, but I would have bought it without a prescription).

I picked up the “Masalo cuff” at the medical supply store and had it explained to me how to use it, which was more difficult than I thought because this cuff is hardly ever prescribed and the staff member had to read up on it first. I wore the “Masalo cuff” continuously from then on, even to sleep. I only took it off to shower and to wash the cuff (I did this at 40°C). And here it comes:

I was able to work again from the first day, because I was pain-free, except for the small ankle at the elbow, which was painful,

and after eight months I was completely symptom-free.

If the figures are roughly correct, that you are unable to work for about 3 months on average, and are only completely symptom-free after 2-3 years, and …

… you don’t have to endure any medication, radiation, surgery, or all the other ‘cure suggestions’, then the few euros that the “Masalo cuff” costs are a real bargain.

P.S. I don’t understand why the health insurance companies don’t ask the patients …

Greetings from the far north, and many thanks for this really good invention.

Response from Masalo.co.uk

Hello Mr Nitzsche, thank you for your detailed report. Yes, I can’t really understand why the health insurance companies haven’t all paid the full co-payment for a long time. After all, our Masalo cuff really does help almost always (provided it is applied correctly) and ensures that those affected can return to work. The health insurance companies should be able to see this from the significantly reduced costs for follow-up treatments and reduction of the incapacity to work – or so they think. So far, only the AOKPlus Sachsen.Thüringen covers the total costs; with other health insurance funds it is sometimes like this and sometimes like that. Sometimes the costs are covered against a cost estimate, sometimes only a fraction. But there is little we can do about it, although we have received thousands and thousands of reports that – sometimes even after multiple operations and already classified as “hopeless cases” – people were able to work again and were free of pain with the cuff. Incidentally, the prevalence of epicondylitis among forestry workers is said to be 29% and the average duration of incapacity to work even 87.1 days per year. What an unbelievable loss for the insurance companies… But never mind 😊 there are things you can change, others you just have to accept. In any case, I am very pleased that you are doing well again and wish you all the best. Best regards Harry Röder

Takes away the pain, but healing takes longer than expected

I contracted a very painful tennis elbow from my 30 years as a draughtswoman (I work 8 hours at a PC). After physio and stretching exercises by Liebscher&Bracht, the pain did not improve. I hardly used my right arm any more, every movement was a torture.

By chance I stumbled across the Masalo cuff. I was very lucky and my doctor prescribed it, and at the same time I started shock wave therapy. I have been wearing the cuff since 18.03.22. The relief was noticeable relatively quickly and after 3 weeks I thought I was out of the woods. Then I didn’t wear the cuff for 3 days and it got worse every day.

So now I wear it again day and night, but I have the feeling that it doesn’t help so well anymore. That worries me a bit. I can’t stretch my arm now without the familiar pain. I wonder when I will finally be pain-free even with the cuff?

You have to get used to the fit of the cuff, but it works quite well after a while. The only thing that bothers me is that it is very sensitive to dirt. Just wearing it in the fresh air is enough to get it dirty.

Kind regards

Anke Koker

Response from Masalo.co.uk

Hello Mrs Koker, thank you very much for your report. It takes time for tennis elbow or golfer’s elbow (which is even more stubborn) to heal completely. Even with the Masalo cuff, you have to reckon with a healing period of about 3 months, in difficult cases even 6 months, until everything with and without the cuff is possible again without pain. You should wear the brace consistently and permanently and not take it off too soon. Even if everything is possible again without pain with the cuff on, this does not mean that everything has healed. Please contact our support team by email at support@masalo.co.uk and send us 2 photos of the arm with the bandage on. It should definitely not be the case that you now have pain with the cuff on after 3 days of not wearing it. There is something wrong and we can certainly help you. I just hope that you are not doing any stretching exercises and that the shock wave therapy has not caused any additional damage. But we will get it sorted out. I wish you a good recovery and we are waiting for the pictures. Best regards Harry Röder

What a great invention

I contracted tennis elbow in May last year, I had problems before, but most of the time it went away after a break of about 2 weeks, but not this time.

So off to the doctor yes injection here joke medicine there not strong load easier said than done in June then sent to radiotherapy where the doctor told me there for they are actually quite young (30) well still made in the hope that it finally gets better, but was not better.

In August I bought the Masalo cuff and have been wearing it since then until today (28.3), except for sleeping, then I went to the physio on my own and what can I say, it’s gone, completely, biceps curls, everything works wonderfully again.

I still wear them in the gym sometimes because I’m afraid that something might pinch, but otherwise everything’s top, I think the combination of the Physio cuff has brought the breakthrough, thank God!

So a big thank you to Harry Röder for this great invention.

Best regards Marco.

Response from Masalo.co.uk

Hello Mr Hahn, thank you very much for your experience report. We are very pleased to hear that you have got rid of epicondylitis 😊 You were lucky with the radiation therapy (shock wave, I assume), we have quite a few customers who had significantly more pain after such a treatment. It also makes perfect sense to continue wearing the brace during heavy exertion such as weight training, fitness, work, etc. as a precaution. Then it doesn’t come up again in the first place. Keep up the good work 😊 and stay healthy. Best regards from your Masalo Team Harry Röder
